Tuesday 2nd July and on a pleasant sunny evening, the Aylesbury MG Club held its annual Pride of Ownership event at the Stone Sports and Social Club. The recent poor weather meant that the turn out was less than usual but nonetheless a perfectly formed group of MG enthusiasts and MGs took their positions in the newly formed car park area for a very sociable evening.

Fish and chips for those who had ordered them, were delivered at around 8pm as arranged by Club Chairman Clive Wayland, so the members spent an hour wandering around in the sunshine, marking scorecards and enjoying a drink before settling down to supper.

Missing from the top photo are Debbie Martin who helped to organise the event, Karen Hall who delegated her appearance to Brian Deacon and, Peter Mallett who took the photograph (but he gets his XJS in the frame).

The event takes place on the first Tuesday in July annually, so make a note in your diaries for 2025. The class for non MGs means that other marques, not just MGs get an opportunity to win. The club is affiliated with both the MG Owner’s Club and the MG Car Club, its facebook page is publicly accessible so why not register interest for next year?
