When Sunday Comes

Well, the first Sunday in the month that is. This day is set aside for the Car Collective’s Leighton Buzzard Cars and Coffee morning at Jackson and Phillips’ garage in Leighton Buzzard. Always a good turn out of diverse cars and this meeting was no exception. There was the young gent with his first car, a Peugeot 107, all the way up to the owner of a McLaren 720s, via classics such as a Z28 Camaro and a rather nicely modified Triumph TR6.

Youthfull memories were stirred (for me anyway) by the sight of the Ford Popular custom car complete with slot mags.

There were three Ford Focus STs of varying age, one of which was mine, because when I woke up the weather suggested heated steering wheels and seats, so the Jaguar stayed in its air bubble.

Surprisingly few motorcycles appeared but this rather nice Royal Enfield graced us with its presence.

Of the more modern Jaguars I have a soft spot for the 5.0l XKR and it was pleasing to see two, one coupe and one convertible in attendance. The convertible arrived complete with an alsation in the back seats!

Of course the coffee is always good and the conversation is equally pleasing. The next meeting is 07 April from 10am to 12pm. See you there?
