Motor Racing Legends has announced two exciting updates to its technical regulations, affecting the Pre War Sportscars, as well as the Pre 63 GT and Pre 66 GT and Touring Car Categories. For those with a knack for spotting changes, you’ll notice the inclusion of a category for “Pre 66 Touring Cars”. This was formerly known as the HRDC Jack Sears Trophy but has now been revitalised under the classic moniker MRL Top Hat, a homage to “Mr HRDC” Julius Thurgood’s early days in motorsport organisation. It’s a brilliant nod to tradition, promising plenty of old-school racing action.

Another highlight is the brand-new Pre 66GT Sprint category, which, together with the reborn Top Hat series, will make its much-anticipated debut at the Donington Historic Festival. This thrilling series will feature one-hour races, drawing inspiration from the iconic Pall Mall Cup, and is sure to deliver fast-paced, competition for both drivers and spectators.
