The traditional Vintage Sports Car Club’s Pomeroy Trophy, kicks off the 2026 circuit action at Silverstone this weekend. Renowned for its lively atmosphere and eclectic mix of machinery, the event promises a spectacle both on and off the track, as drivers and fans alike revel in the nostalgia and excitement of classic motorsport.

It’s a fun and relaxed way to start the season and of course allows new drivers the chance to mix with more expereinced drivers on track in the afternoon tests around the GP circuit.

For the spectator, an entry fee of a fiver allows you to wander the pits and breath in that castrol R aroma, or pop out to the circuit where the driving tests are undertaken. There’s nothing quite like the sight of gleaming bonnets and the soundtrack of vintage engines to stir the soul of any car enthusiast.

This year there are 152 entries ranging from a pre war Monarch to an E36 BMW M3. With such a diverse grid, the action promises to be as unpredictable as the British weather, ensuring thrills for all who attend.
