Silverstone International March 8/9
The Classic Sports Car Club kicks off its season on the International Circuit. Two days of action with the following races:
- Race 1 – Midland Restorations Classic
- Race 2 – The Verum Builders Open
- Races 3 & 5 – Adams and Page Swinging 60s*
- Race 4 – SuperPro Modern Classics and Advantage Motorsport Future Classics
- Races 6 & 8 – Lackford Engineering Midget and Sprite Challenge
- Races 7 & 12 – Ramair BMW Championship
- Race 9 – Liqui Moly Slicks and WOSP New Millenium
- Race 10 – Fox Transport Turbo Tin Tops
- Races 11 & 14 – Gold Arts Magnificent Sevens
- Race 13 – Co-ordSport Tin Tops and Puma Cup
*separate classes in each race
The International circuit is located at the “Wing” end of the Grand Prix circuit.
Brands Hatch Indy March 29/30
Equipe Classic Racing rounds off March with its opener on the Brands Hatch “bowl” with races for:
- Equipe Libre
- Equipe GTS
- Equipe Formula Libre
- Equip Sports Prototypes
- Equipe MG Cup
- Equipe 70s
- Equipe Sports Racing Cars
- Equipe 50s
- Equipe Pre 63
Classic Car Events
Vintage Stony opens the month with its rearranged gathering of classic and vintage cars on March 2nd. Originally due to be held on January 1st but postponed due to weather. Details Here.
The JEC has arranged a coffee and cars gathering at Podium Place, the home of the TWR Supercat on March 8th. This is the first 50th anniversary event for the XJ-S. All sold out but if you are in the newbury area you might be able to pop down and view the XJ-S’ on display. There will of course be a separate area for original TWR cars.
9th March sees the Leighton Buzzard Cars and Coffee meet, arranged by the @carcollective
The Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show takes place at the NEC on 21 to 23 March. Tickets available here.
So, a reasonably busy month.
